I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2nd Instant, and to inform you that no official record is to be found in this Office showing that the Government had agreed to resume Inland Lots Nos. 155, 156, 157, and 158, to which your communication refers, but in consideration of the arrangement, which appears to have been made by Mr. Parker at the suggestions of the Honorable the Acting Attorney General, in September last, His Excellency will recommend the resumption of the lots in question to the favorable consideration of the Right Honorable the Earl Grey.
